SVKM\u2019s NMIMS Deemed-to-be University recently hosted a 3-day Executive Leadership Program for school leaders between January 12 and 14, 2023. The program aimed to re-engineer leadership for the future, make impactful communication the driving force, create value through futuristic learning technologies, build STEM competencies, and support differently-abled children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program was led by education experts such as Dr. Ramesh Bhat, Vice Chancellor, SVKM\u2019s NMIMS Deemed-to-be University, and Dr. Meena Chintamaneni, Pro-Vice Chancellor, SVKM\u2019s NMIMS Deemed-to-be University. They emphasized the importance of the KASH (Knowledge, Attitude, Skills, Habits) framework and made curiosity the soul of classroom teaching to develop self-directed learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants were also given ideas for technology revamping and becoming a tech leader by Technology Application Entrepreneur, Ms. Shachi Narula, who conducted hands-on sessions to explore interactive, experiential, and virtual learning tools. The principal of CNM School, Ms. Kavita Sanghvi, discussed the STEM framework and the science competencies as per PISA. The future leaders were helped to effectuate impactful communication by Mr. Kartik Vyas, Corporate Trainer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program also included sessions on energy management techniques led by Homeopath and Psychological Therapist, Dr. Atul Pednekar and Dr. Samir Hasan Dalwai, Developmental Paediatrician created sensitivities respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The designers of the program, Smt. Girija Mohan, Smt. Norina Fernandes and Smt. Cheryl Mukkath, aimed for transcendence in every leader at the end of the workshop. It was a stark reminder that \u2018What got us HERE, will not take us THERE, so let us focus on CHILD DEVELOPMENT and not on milestones! This will be a milestone for all leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, the 3-day program provided valuable insights and tools for school leaders to improve their leadership skills and support the development of their students. The program reinforced the idea that child development, not milestones, should be the focus of education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
